Oasis on a Hill

It was about 50 to get to Mosby. Thanks to a predominantly downhill slope and wonderful tailwind we arrived in the town of Winnet, our half way point, in less than two hours.  Definitely a high point, praise songs and prayers flowed freely as the pedaling felt almost effortless.  

Ellen was outside painting some trim at the Kozy Corner. Maintenance worker turned into cook after our arrival; nothing like fried eggs for elevensies! This out of the way restaurant has been written up in Gourmet Magazine; if you ever drive through MT on Hwy 200, try her homemade pies! 

The tailwind stayed with us and we surprised our hosts with a mid afternoon rather than dinner time arrival. The motto at the Hill Oasis B @ B guest ranch is to arrive as friends but leave as family. It was truly that. These folks stayed busy with haying, feeding lambs and Rosie the calf in our brief overnight, but took the time to dine and chat and get to know us.
