| Birthplace of Amelia Erhart, Atchison KS |
We started late from Atchison Kansas. Leah split her knee open on the door jam as she was organizing the car, so it was off to get a few stitches...amazingly, the doctor ok'd her to do a little riding. The cut was vertical and so bending of the knee didn't pull it open. Trooper that she is, after Dan did the river crossing and took the celebratory entrance photo into Missouri, the final state on the route, Leah got on that bike and did about 10 miles with me!

It felt a little unreal to be in Missouri. Roughly 400 more miles to go! That's reachable at my pace with the 10 days left, but means no more rest days till we reach the goal ...

| 1st night in Missouri greeted us with a spectacular sunset |
Had a snack at this gorgeous park
then Leah found us lodging a little more to her liking, that was almost as beautiful as this sunset! We dined and enjoyed the comfort of a nice hotel suite, and I took an early morning dip in pool & warmed up in the spa before we took off again.
